QUICK PRINTS: Convert HTML to PDF for E-filing

Casetrackerlaw plays a major role in the busy working office of many law firms.  Those law firms use the document merge feature on a daily basis to merge claim information with letters and court forms.  E-filing to the courts has become more and more in demand.

If you need a way to E-file with the courts and need to submit a PDF we have a way for you to do that without having to modify your system.

Using Chrome, go to any claim in Casetrackerlaw, go to the Quick Print Blue claim tab, click Get Letters, select the document you want and select the HTML option.  Once the document is displayed, select the Print option.  On the left-hand side, you will see an option called Destination…click the Change button and select Save As PDF then click the little Save button to name and save on your computer, either in a folder of on the desktop.  This form merges with the claim information previously created from within the Letter Wizard and creates a perfect PDF.

If you have any questions on how to do this, please feel free to contact our office for more information.

Word Interface Update

Casetrackerlaw has three letter merge functions, one with Word and the other with Letter Wizard, of which both lets you create letters on the fly and the third is the PDF Merge Dept., about which I will discuss at a later date.

Thanks to the law firm of Cloud and Tidwell of Birmingham, AL, we have added yet another great feature which saves even more time.

When you select your reminders, your list of reminders for the day will appear. At the bottom of the page, you have many options such as changing reminders, changing the status or creating a letter directly from the reminders page. This latest feature also allows you to select a particular claim or claims from your reminder screen and add letters to your Word queue to be stored and printed at a later time.

If you have any suggestions on how to make CasetrackerLaw better, please call us or email us at info@casetrackerlaw.com

Shaving The Bottom Line

Well it’s been an interesting week of interfaces. We would like to introduce and thank the firm of PCI Group, Inc. located in Fort Mill, S. Carolina and President Chris Kropac, for all the IT support and communications within our office. Visit their website to see exactly what they do and FYI: I spoke with other mail merge companies and I find most mailers are competively priced but a little behind with technology.

What I found most interesting with most mailers was this:

Question: How do I get the information back so I have a record or copy of what was mailed?
Answer: We’ll send you a disk at the end of the month.

Problem: Now I have a disk with thousands of letters and pray I never need to reproduce a specific letter and when I sent that letter to the debtor.
Solution: We have developed an interface that will send 1000’s of letters with a click of the mouse to the mailer and while you are having a coffee break or sleeping, the documents will magically move back into your system and attach themselves to the appropriate claim and trigger a reminder when the next action is required.

If you do the math, one person can‘t print, fold, stuff, lick and stamp plus the cost of paper for under 55 cents per letter. I have estimated the cost to be more in line with .75 - .99 per letter, if you have staff complete the work.

We ran a test of how long it takes to upload 1,000 claims into our system, click to sort the category and click to send to the mailer. Total time is less than 5 minutes. Just compare!!!

At CasetrackerLaw, saving time and shaving the bottom line is our primary goal.

Everyone have good weekend and check in on Monday to see what’s on schedule… things happen fast around here and we never know who is going to come up with the next great idea.

Keep your imaginations working.

Letter Wizard

As I said yesterday, Casetrackerlaw is creating letters.

It is amazingly simple to create and merge a letter in the Letter Wizard. I found that it works much better if you don't copy and paste from a document or upload it which also is an option you have. In some cases it may work. In my opinion, creating the letter yourself is much easier.

When you create your letter, you have a variety of options...you can save it to your attachments, add a reminder to the letter that will show up on your reminder list on the day you select, you can add a note to the reminder and you can generate this letter over and over as well as edit it.

There is a phrase (Click and Print) that has been used in our office for years that I didn't quite understand but now I do. In order to create and generate a letter, all you have to do is "Click & Print". What could be easier? Casetrackerlaw never allows debt to stop.

Mail Merge - 2 Money Saving Features

Today I am going to switch gears a little bit. Last week I was talking about Casetrackerlaw's automated sales tool and it's many features. This week I'm going to start off talking about "Mail Merge" and Casetrackerlaw has 2 built-in letter creating features that are so easy to use that it reminds me of the commercial for Geico "even a caveman can do it".

The first one is Word which operates with Word 03 or 07. This mail merge feature allows you to create your letters right from Casetrackerlaw's system using documents that you have already stored in your computer.

The second way to create a letter and merge information is with "Letter Wizard", Casetrackerlaw's own mail merge feature that allows you to merge information into pre-selected fields that require specific information.

I will be explaining this week how these 2 amazing features work and how they will save your employees and company time and money.
