IACC Convention ~ Miami, FL

The IACC CONVENTION in Miami, FL was a held at the Eden Rock Resort.

Much is going on in the debt world today that people should be aware of.

The IACC is a good way to stay updated on the newest laws.

There are extremely knowledgeable people associated with the IACC that were in attendance along with vendors that have the newest technology.

Dinner was served on the Grand Floridian yacht sailing up the beautiful intercoastal waterways.

What a unique way to dine, be entertainment and mingle with some brilliant minds in our business.

There are two conventions held each year. One is always in Miami.

This association is worth joining.

Client Status Updates With Attachments

Casetracker123 can give clients access to their claims, monitoring the process and interacting with the agency or law firm.  Clients have the ability to view status updates, attached documents and when payments are entered to their accounts on a daily basis.  Giving access to the system is an administration option.  Some firms choose not to give access for security reasons.  Not giving access, causes the firm to have to communicate manually with the client via email.
How many times a day do you have to give a status update regarding a claim to a client?  How many times are you required to send along some documentation; a contract, an invoice or two, statements of account, etc.?  A time-consuming process if you have multiple documents that you need to send to multiple clients?
With the help of Stephen Gebeloff of Gebeloff Law in Boca Raton, FL, a new function was created to help with this time-consuming problem.  He needed a way to simultaneously status update his clients with the ability to attach multiple documents.
If there are documents attached to the claim, the question, “Would you like to add attachments? Yes or No” will appear in the Status update dialog box; if there are no attachments, this question does not appear.  Select Yes when entering the criteria and click Update.  The next screen displays all the documents that are attached, make a selection and click Send.  The client receives the update along with the documents in an email.

Task Management "Tool"

Always know what is going on with your projects.

The management of time is one of the most difficult elements with regards to running a business today.  Technology is great; it saves us time and money.  However, does it?  Maybe it just seems like it.
Over the past 1.5 years, Casetrackerlaw has built and developed a task management "tool" that will make you believe in technology again.  A tool so efficient in the management of projects, tasks and task persons, you will not know how you functioned without it.
Read what a real user has to say about this software wonder.
"I work in a hectic software company with many clients that need things all the time, and they wanted them yesterday.  I started using this task management system to keep track of the projects I was giving to my programmers'.  It works great.  I know what's going on with all of my projects and tasks at all times.  I can create as many "task persons" that I need, and then I can enter tasks for a specific task person depending on what I need to have done.   When I enter the task, I have the ability to enter a task name, description, type of task, who authorized the task (if needed), status, priority, deadline date (if needed), an hourly rate, a quote (if needed) and a place for notes.  Everything I need to convey to the task person what I require of them; even attach documents, spreadsheets, and screenshots."

"Each task person has their secure login and can only view and work on tasks assigned to them.  When they finish a project or task, they can then "complete" the task with a date and how long it took them.  If a task has been entered as "billable" with a rate entered, the system will calculate an invoice balance with the ability to email the invoice to the client.  How cool is that?  Also, every task goes into a history so if I need to find it again; I can."

Moving Date - A New Function

In my last blog, I talked about the problems & costs a company can run into when "transferring data"...their data, out of one software system and into Casetracker123 / Casetrackerlaw.

This time, I want to talk about "moving date".  Data can and usually is private & confidential, one of the best ways to send sensitive information over the internet is via an FTP site.  What is FTP?  FTP means File Transfer Protocol, this is the safest way to send files over the internet.

A very important client of ours has, for years, received claims via an FTP site...this procedure works quite nice:, however, the FTP site password requires changing every three months.  This process took us a few days to complete which caused files to get backed up.  So we had our Programming Engineer create a sweet little link/function that gives us the ability to enter manually the new password that is provided by the client and click Submit.  The password is entered and changed immediately, and the files are received.  Our client is very happy.

Exporting Data - Seriously??

Have you ever experienced the necessity of having to pack up and leave?  It’s easy…you pack up your stuff, put it in boxes and walk away with it.  But what about data that’s being stored in a cloud server or on a private server; you can’t just shove that into a box.  You have to export it somehow.

Recently we acquired a new client who was currently using another debt recovery software product for their daily process and work flow.  When they made the decision to leave and requested their data exported in order to import into Casetracker123, they were told there would be a fee for that service.   We were sent a work project form to fill out and sent it back.  Our new client was charged $1,500.00 to get their own data back.  Seriously??

Casetracker123/law would never hold a business’s data ransom for a fee.   If for any reason you leave us, we will give your data back to you in any format you request.  It’s not that difficult to export information…
